The Mission Base

The Mission Base is a very important part of JBYM. It provides a place to rest and reorganize for JBYM’s workers. Many meals are cooked and many loads of laundry are washed to accommodate the staff, house parents, and visitors. The house parents provide advice and stability for the staff who work here in Guatemala. Those who work at the mission base are often called upon to provide transportation and organization between JBYM’s different outposts. At the mechanic shop a wide variety of projects are performed, from vehicle maintenance, to inflating the neighbor boy’s soccer ball, to welding.
