Good Samaritan Clinic
The Good Samaritan Clinic roots can be traced back to Norma Gingerich, a Canadian nurse who started to dispense medications from the back porch of the mission house. It has grown and become a busy and crucial part of the community in El Chal. On average 40 patients come daily from the surrounding communities to receive quality medical attention. They are served with kind and compassion care that is uncommon elsewhere.
Patients are also encouraged to identify spiritual needs in their lives along with their physical ailments. It is the nurses privilege to be able to pray with these seeking individuals during consultations.
Our job and privilege is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy. It’s what Jesus did for us.
